Okay but wouldn't buy again

I have used Alterna products in the past. I was looking for a color-safe shampoo with UV protection. The shampoo is extremely thick. So thick that I cannot easily shampoo and lather my hair without first watering down the shampoo in my hand. It smells great, but it doesn't make my hair feel any better than the Redken Color Extend Shampoo I usually use, which also has UV protection. I would not order this again. Not worth the money.

I love this product. I use this along with the conditioner and my hair is highly abused with highlights, low-lights, color and flat ironing on a regular basis.

For the price, I wasn't thrilled, though this shampoo was certainly better than the L'Oreal Paris EverPure Moisture Shampoo, 8.5-Fluid Ounce I was using before (which dried my hair out like you wouldn't believe). My haircolor didn't hold up particularly long, though this may be due to the fact that I was experimenting with PPD-free color for the first time -- maybe this just doesn't hold up as well. My hair didn't seem especially soft or moisturized, though it was manageable. I haven't given up on Alterna -- next I'd like to try the Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging formula for brunettes.
