Not the same as it used to be

My husband and I have been using this product for 6 years. This time we received it from a different vendor and it is just not the same product. Either Pureology changed the product formula or this is a scam. The conditioner does not smell the way it used to. I compared it to the last bottle we bought and it was a completely different smell. After using it for several months my husbands hair is not as soft as it used to be. I had to switch conditioners after the first week and at the time I thought maybe it was just the dry weather we were having that was effecting my long hair to be more dry. So we kept the product just for my husband. Again, after using it now for months, we know it is the product that is not right. Has anyone else noticed a change in the Essential Hair Conditioner formula? Or did we get scammed by paying for Pureology and getting who knows what?

a product junkie's favorite conditioner!

I am a product junkie and have countless conditioners for my extremely damaged, dry, brittle, frizzy, thinning hair. This is by far my favorite! It makes your hair soooo soft and I can definitely see a difference in how my hair feels and doesn't break as much after using this. I leave it in for a few minutes in the shower and its almost as strong as a hair mask which I love. I also love that it has antifade complex because I have been coloring my hair for about 10 years. It is all natural-another plus. I definitely recommend this to anyone-no matter the level of damage!

Clean and fresh but works better if combed out!

I have colored processed hair (from black toblonde highlights) and it became very damaged because of that. I've used the Volumizing (pink) and the Hydrate (purple) in the past but I like the clean smell (Hydrate was a bit perfume-y) of this better.I found that this conditioner worked significantly better (30%-40% better IMO) if you used a wide tooth comb to spread it out evenly after it's applied, then I clip it up for a while and do other things and then wash it out with slightly cooler water (if you can tolerate it). It seemed to absorb into the cuticle better as opposed to the glob-and-spread-with-hands method.It a pricey conditioner at around $20 or so, but my hairdresser sold it to me at $27 so on Amazon it's a deal.
