Doesn't strip my hair

I've been using CHI Color Protect shampoo for well over a year, maybe two years (I also use the conditioner). I find that it lathers well, it smells nice, and it rinses well. Most important, it doesn't strip my color treated hair. I have noticed a marked difference in how much my color fades since I started using CHI Color Protect. If you color your hair, any product with sulfates will strip your hair. CHI Color Protect has no sulfates and I believe that is why it works so well for me.

I used it once and threw it out it was so bad

The product is really watery. I'm not talking about something watery like suave, herbal essences, or any of the other lower quality shampoos. I mean after opening the bottle half of it ran out through my fingers. By far the worst shampoo I have ever used. It was actually hard to use it because it was so runny. It also smelled really bad, like a paste of sorts. I have used Chi products before and have been really satisfied. Typically chi products smell amazing and work well, but my experience with this product does not resemble my past experiences with Chi. It really was a waste of money; I should have looked more carefully at the other reviews.

Received this shampoo and thought it would work great for my hair. I think this bottle was replaced with primarily water. The shampoo ran right thru my fingers and down the drain. At first I was blaming Chi for making such a poor product! But today I went shopping at Ultra Beauty Brands store and bought the exact same product. The cap was tamper resist and the consistency and smell was completely different than the one I purchased here. I am totally disappointed and would have given it minus stars if that had been an option. I will definitely think twice before I purchase this type of product online again, sometimes it's better to shop in a retail store!
