Happy with my purchase! Saves money and time

I got 4hair Power Brazilian Keratin (for ethnic hair) treatment in January, and it lasted for about 6 months! The stylist who gets it for me is hard to book with, so i decided to take measures in my own hands, plus save some money and time. I stumbled across this looking for the top rated keratin system, so i went on a limb and ordered it! Came fast! Easy to apply i would say . . . Im an ingredient junkie and this stuff is the real deal!The important ingredients are at the top of the list! However, cant say the same about the conditioner (haven't tried it yet based on the ingredient order) Which is way i gave it 4 stars, 1 star off for the conditioner having more fragrance then important ingredients like the keratin and amino acids, they are very low on the list!. . I will be getting my favorite keratin conditioner, KeratinPerfect (sephora), but this is a good buy for the clarifying pre shampoo, which u need to make sure to open the hair's cuticle.It does have a tiny bit of formaldehyde, but for my kinky coarse hair, you need this ingredient so the keratin can penetrate deeper, and last longer. . . you need to make sure you are in a ventilated area to apply this. Also its great that you do not need to wait 4 days to wash, although after all the work blowdrying and flat ironing, im gonna wait anywaysI have short hair to my chin, but my roots are very thick and kinky from letting my relaxer grow out for many months as well as letting my keratin treatment fade, and prob could get 1 or 2 more treatments from this size bottle . Will have to update on how long it lasts, but Im happy so far and my bf just noticed my hair was nice and straight as Im writing this review.Thank you amazon and keratin research for saving me money and making these types of products so accessible!UPDATE: The stylist who cut my hair was amazed on how my hair was straightened by this! Definitely saves time blow drying, but one area that I rushed thru since it was the last section, didn't really pick up the keratin as much, you need to be sure to do section by section as if you were coloring the hair!

5 Dec 2012 (3 stars)I was waiting anxiously for this item because it was mentioned that "No Need to wait 3 days- Express formula". However, when i received the keratin treatment, the instructions on the bottle is totally different! There is a 72 hours waiting time!I shall update this review again when i try it out tonight.Updates!(13 dec 2012 4 stars)This is not the first time i have done keratin treatment. I have done it before at a salon and have also tried DIY kit.Below is my short review.1)The solution STINKS!! It smells like poison and it makes my eyes tear and nose burn. I was so afraid that i will faint and die. Therefore it is important to do in a room with good ventilation.2) I only use very little solutions (ard 4 tablespoon) for my shoulder length hair and it is already enough to cover the whole head. As i cannot tolerate having the solutions in my hair, i only leave it on for around 5 hours (the amount of time i sleep). Surprisingly, my hair is easier to maintain. Maybe because my skills are not so good therefore it is not as good as the salon. I do encounter 1 side of my hair not as silky as the other side. So if you have a friend to do the flat iron for you, i believe results will be even better. This is DEFINITELY better than other DIY kit which i have tried. Therefore it is not necessary to leave it for 72 hours unless you have very curly or frizzy hair.After more than a week since i done the keratin treatment, my hair is getting more and more easier to maintain and it is even smoother and silkier than the first wash. The conditioner is very good! With just a little amount, my hair is all moisturized and i believe it helps to make the hair more manageable and silky.Overall, it is a good product which is worth trying even though it took me around 2 hours and end up with aching arms and fingers but i ended up saving lots of money! I will give it 5 stars if the solution does not make my nose feels like it is being burned by acid. Of course, this 300ml keratin treatment is going to last me a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time.(Just a comment to seller. Maybe you can choose to put the bottles into a box to send it out instead of using just the padded envelope. When i open the package, some solutions have leaked out of the bottle.)
