Contains a non-staining violet base to give lighter shades the special care it needs to remain bright. Provides extra protection with heated proteins that repair blonde and color-treated hair to keep it looking fresh, healthy and dazzling. Protects with UV light absorbers to block yellow. To Use: Lather into wet hair, leave on for up to 5 minutes. Rinse completely and repeat. Safe to use everyday. For best results, follow with ColorCare Condition. Secret Tip: Soak nails for just 5 minutes to remove yellow discoloration. Use as an in-salon service; mix equal parts ColorBrite with 5 volume developer to create a 5 minute foam cap to remove stubborn stains. Rinse. Fragrance: Chocolate Mint

works great can't stand the smell

I purchased my first bottle from a salon and have found this stuff really does help to prevent colored hair from becoming brassy. I love what this stuff does for my hair regarding softness and color preservation. It moisturizes a bit as well. Not sure why, but first bottle from the salon was odorless, which is fine by me. Second bottle has what I now understand to be an intentional chocolate-mint scent. The scent is overwhelmingly strong and I have to hold my breath when I drop my head to scrub parts of my scalp. I would not have purchased this product knowing about the smell, which I find repugnant. I never care to smell like candy, but the smell is very strong in the shower. Smell does not persist after shampoo is rinsed out. I wish there was something on the bottle or on the website that would have warned me that the product was candy-scented; I will not purchase it again.

Smells Great AND Works

When used regularly, this shampoo really does help brighten and de-brass-ify blond, gray and white hair. There may be some that do an even better job, but they don't work AND smell as good as this one. Not only does it remove brassiness but it also affords an aromatic experience, as chocolate-mint wafts around your head in the shower. For the price, fragrance and effectiveness, you just can't beat it.
