Not good for 4A or 4B hair. The product left my hair sticky, and by the time my hair had dried completely from the wash it was brittle and dry. NO moisture was retained with the use of this product on my hair. I'm a bit of a product junky, and the best wash and go I have found to this date is Kinky Curly Custard and Knot Today. Deva Curl Shampoo and Daily conditioner are worth the money, but the other products I've tried (this included) is a waste of money if you have really curly hair. My roommate has curly/wavy hair (3A) and this product takes the frizz out and helps her hair stay moisturized...It does NOT do this for my hair which is a 4A zig zag curl. This product claims to work on all hair types, but it doesn't. I even used it over the course of three weeks, hoping that my hair might need the time to get use to the product, but the result was the same...sticky, dry, frizzy, shrunken hair.

I have to agree with some of the other reviews in that it makes my hair feel heavy and even oily. If you like clean, fluffy hair, this might not be the product for you. I can see how it might work for me if my hair were longer... I might want to put it on the ends, but I have short hair and it just makes my entire head feel dirty even when I spray the smallest amount. It's actually a very thick liquid that sprays out, so to me it felt like spraying conditioner into my hair, then just leaving it. Again, some might like that, but it's not for me.

Set It Free is a great curl refresher. I usually use a couple sprays midday to refresh my curls. This is one of my favorite Deva Curl products. I highly recommend it.
