excellent for "ETHNIC" hair

Ok, so I did buy Pravana and I bought the Bio Ionic Agave smoothing treatment. I put the Pravavna on my 17 year old daughter and I put the Bio Ionic Agave on my hair. Here's the comparison:Pravana - much more liquidy and the smell and smoke was intense! I agree with xoxonikki, you should do this outside if you can! Anyway, my daughter's hair came out fabulous! Her hair was breaking like crazy from the Chi that was on her hair before so we were trying to find something to stop the breakage... Ok, so we put the pravana on it, her hair is completely straight and it is shiny and NO BREAKAGE since we put it on her hair. It is a great product, easy to do at home and I highly recommend it. Her hair falls to the bottom of her neck so one bottle was plenty.Bio Ionic Agave Smoothing treatment - So I had this treatment a week ago. It was a thicker consistency than the Pravana. It did slightly burn when she first started putting it on me, I'm not sure why. So here's the important thing... My hair is down to my shoulder blades, we ran out of the smoothing solution very quickly and had to use it very sparingly. I should've ordered 2 kits but live and learn. The smell was not bad at all, it sort of smelled like cocoa butter. There was minimal smoke coming off of the iron. After shampooing and blow drying this was the results: My hair color was lifted from a medium brown to light brown. I thought it was odd it would lift my color so much but hey, I kind of like it : ) My hair is extremely straight and my ends were a little fried (they were probably already a little crunchy but this really sent them over the edge). I went today and had my hair trimmed. After my stylist was done trimming it she blow dried it and did not have to flat iron it! Amazing! I am very pleased with the Agave. So next go round, I'm going to try the Pravana and then use the Agave on my daughter. We will see if either of us notices a huge difference. (I am mixed caucasian and african american - hair is more african american coarse than the mixed curly hair and my daughter is african american - mostly, we have 2 very different textures of hair.

This was a lengthy process - but omg so worth it! If have a frizz problem with all of the humidity look no further. This is an awesome product!

I used to use keratin treatment products on my hair. I did two treatments and was sure that stuff was going to give me cancer or render me infertile so I was looking for an alternative without formaldehyde. I tried this and I really like it a lot. The only thing I will say is that the ends of my hair that were previously treated with Keratin are kind of stringy and dry looking. But the hair that was not treated looks really great! My natural hair is very wavy and frizzy! Without treatments, my attempts to style and smooth my hair look great for about an hour until the frizz starts to creep in. With this treatment, my hair is not as bulky looking, it is smoother, and there is no frizz. I still have to style it but it is much easier and looks great! Oh, also, I bought two of the kits because I have long hair and did not want to run out in the middle! However, it only took one of the kits to do my hair and now I have another one for when I am ready to do it again. The treatment takes a lot longer than I thought it would so I would say plan on carving out about 3 hours to do this treatment.Lastly, I am VERY particular about my hair and get A LOT of compliments on it so I am also very particular about the products I use. I will definitely be using this again in another 8-12 weeks!
