Caucasian Hair

I bought this shampoo for my daughter who is Ethiopian and I am Caucasian. I decided to use it too. My hair is very dry and wavy and it is now moist and smooth. I love it. She looks great too and has natural curly beautiful hair.

Improvement after two days of use

First off, let me say I am a white guy with short, fine, blonde hair. I decided to go with this shampoo becuase on Sephora's website it was one of the top rated shampoos for dry hair, normal hair, and even oily hair. It sounded like a good all around shampoo.I bought it specifically because sometimes my hair seems to have a mind of its own. I know that sounds odd for short, fine hair, but there are sections of my bangs that just want to do their own thing. I bought this shampoo with the hope that it would calm my hair down. I use Shu Uemura shape paste from Gene Juarez for styling after washing.I have no problem getting a full lather, and I don't have to use much at all. When I rinse, my hair does not get that "squeaky clean" feel, which leads me to believe that it is either 1. Not stripping my hair of all natural oils, or 2. Leaving some other kind of oil on my hair. Either way, it feels soft and supple after washing.After two days I have seen a noticeable difference in my hair. It is more relaxed and supple, and I can get my bangs to go the direction I want. The reason I gave it four stars and not five is because I wish it would just add a bit more body.

Dried out My Hair, but Black Vanilla is EXCELLENT

Tui Moisturizing served as kryptonite to my hair. It left my already fragile, dry hair feeling like straw. Yet, the Black Vanilla was EXCELLENT for my hair. With Black Vanilla, my hair feels so soft and moisturized this line of products. I have fragile, thin, so-called 4B/C hair that does not like SHEA butter or olive or COCONUT oil very much. I have been natural over 20 years and it has been very difficult for me to find the right products for my hair. I have been a product junkie for about four years and NOTHING seemed to work because natural hair products heavily use SHEA a basis. This product is light on shea (thank goodness). Well, for the past several months I have used the following regimen: Aloe and water works well daily. Shampoo and deep condition with Carol Daughter's "Black Vanilla" line once a week (co-washing dries my hair). Use a mix of grape seed and sweet almond oils. And, end with twisting the a bit (just a bit) of Avocado Butter. Trust, you do not want to use too much because avocado is an oily butter. Wear a satin scarf at night. So, in essence, I use the liquid, oil, and creme/butter (LOC or LOB) method. My hair is very fragile and dry out easily. This helps and it has helped me retain moisture as much as my hair can.
